- Kelsey Peak Week at a Glance 9/8/25by scampbell
All,
Building Update: We are hosting Summit time this week at the new building, located at 3706 W 9800 S, South Jordan, UT 84009, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. (The old Walmart across from Elk Ridge Middle School) We are not there full-time yet, but we will have Summit there until we are. There is still construction on Bangerter, so please plan accordingly.
Summit Activities for This week:
10:00 Papel Picado (Johnson)
11:00 Magnets and Electricity (Martin)
12:00 Remembrance Activity (Gibbons)
Classwork and Zooms: Students should be working on/doing assignments every day in every class, even on the non-Zoom days. Remember, with great flexibility comes great responsibility. (Thank you, Uncle Ben).Week 3 Modules lock this Friday. If you are behind, spend some time catching up this week.
Lunch Bunch- Wednesday at 11:30-12:00 Lunch Bunch is a time when students can grab lunch, join a Zoom, and talk about different things. This is student-led, Teacher-supervised, and the topics change weekly: This week’s topic is This or That.
Puberty, Hygiene, and Middle School – I wanted to send a quick note for when students come in for in-person activities. We love this age, awkwardness, and all. However, please ensure that they bring a water bottle, deodorant (especially for PE Activities), and any additional feminine hygiene products they may need. They can keep them in a sling back or shoulder pack if needed.
Reminders:
1)We have water fountains to fill up water bottles; it’s always good to stay hydrated.
2) The main office and bathrooms have free feminine hygiene products and deodorant, if needed. But this is not an age where students like to ask for these things. So please help us out and make sure they leave with them.

Our services are provided by JSD school psychologists, counselors, and school psychology interns. (See the JFEC Fall Schedule below.)
Dojo Store – We introduced the students to the Dojo store again today. If you have questions about how to connect, please reach out. All students should now have an account.
Student Ambassadors/Officers: We are adding a new student leadership group this year and would love to have you join us. Please fill out the form here if you are interested. Student Ambassadors

Summit Time: Friday, Sept. 5th, 10 am-1 pm. For those new to the School, SUMMIT is a three-hour block of time when students physically come into the building (optional) and engage in activities related to their middle school classes. These change each week and are hosted and led by different teachers for each session. Sometimes, teachers combine events or have connected activities to specific holidays, seasons, or academic skills. It’s an excellent way for kids to meet other online students and have some social time. We will have snacks available for the kids while they are here, and we are working on a new check-in process to keep track of who is in the building at any given time. Below is the schedule for this week.
Jordan Family Education Center: The Jordan Family Education Center provides support services and classes for families and students in the Jordan School District. Our services are provided by JSD school psychologists, counselors, and school psychology interns. (See the JFEC Fall Schedule below.)
