• Kelsey Peak Week at a Glance 5/18/26

  Dear Parents and Students, This week is testing week, so it looks a little different from other weeks. 

  End of Year Testing Schedule: All Testing will be in-person at the new Jordan Learning Center (3706 West 9800 South
  South Jordan, UT, 84009) 
  It will take full-time students two days to complete all of the end-of-year tests. Seventh Graders have a shorter day on Thursday, because they don’t have the writing portion of the test. Any partial- or hybrid-student can come for their scheduled test at the appropriate time. If you have questions about the schedule, please reach out to the main office. 

  Day 1 Wed May 20th

  8:00–8:20: Set up the day (string cheese, encourage-“mints,” yoga, trivia)

  8:20–10:20: Math

  10:20–10:45: Break & Reset (walk lap around building perimeter)

  10:45–12:15: Science

  12:15–12:45: Lunch

  12:45: Parent Pick Up

  Day 2 Thur May 21st

  8:20–10:20: Reading English Language Arts 

  10:20–10:45: Break & Reset (7th grade released) (walk lap around building)             10:30: Pick up for 7th Graders

  JVLA ART Show 
  The Annual JVLA Art Show is on Thursday, May 21, from 5-6, followed by the elementary Choir concert from 6-6:30. Come join us for a night of Visual and Performing Arts. (Refreshments served).

  Canvas Security Update – We are working with the District, State, and Instructure to get communication between third-party apps and the nightly grading sync process working. We will let you know.
   
  Counseling Survey: 
  Every three years, the counseling center needs to get community feedback to ensure our program meets the needs of the students in our schools. As part of this process, we have a survey for parents that we need your help filling out. The survey is anonymous, and we use the results to help set goals for the counseling center moving forward.

  Memory Books are on sale now. The cost is 10 dollars. You can pay the fee in Skyward, under Fee Management. The teachers make these memory books. The deadline for purchases is May 22.

  Dear parents and students, thank you for your feedback. In an effort to make communication more efficient and timely, we are sending a single weekly update that includes all class grades/attendance. This email will replace the individual progress reports sent for each class. Again, thank you for your feedback. If you would like daily updates, you can change your settings to daily updates in the Canvas for Parents notifications settings.

  Reminder: Lunch is provided at school at 1240 before parent pickup. Students should bring a water bottle and an optional snack while at the zoo.

  Please note that Kelsey Peak will be closed for Winter Recess from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026. School will officially resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.

  Jordan District & The Cook Center for Human Connection: This collaboration offers FREE access to live, virtual educational sessions on a range of topics.
  
   ● A calendar for December’s Mental Health Series sessions is attached. Sessions are offered in both English and Spanish. Previously recorded seminars can be accessed through a comprehensive library of sessions and resources for each topic.
